Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival (JFFF) continues to commit itself to supporting SMEs and local craftsmen in producing globally acceptable creative products especially through the fashion and culinary industry. This annual fashion and culinary performance officially opened on Sunday (8/4/2017).
JFFF 2017 will indulge fans of fashion and lovers of culinary Archipelago, as well as encouraging the development of the perpetrators of the industry. This year JFFF was held from 7 April to 7 May 2017 at Summarecon Kelapa Gading with a series of Fashion Festival and Food Festival events.
“Every year JFFF increasingly provide treats that appeal to lovers of fashion and culinary. The implementation of JFFF aims to be a window showing the richness of Indonesian culture, so that domestic products are not only known on a national scale but also increasingly recognized by the international community, said JFFF Chairman Soegianto Nagaria at the opening of JFFF on Sunday (8/4/2017) , At La Piazza Kelapa Gading.
At the 14th JFFF event will present a series of events such as fashion shows and culinary fastival. At Fashion Festival, JFFF 2017 brings creativity and innovation of the designers of the country in interpreting the culture and traditions of the archipelago with a touch of the latest trends through the fashion show. A wide range of cultural richness translated creatively in a variety of internationally-qualified local products can also be enjoyed by fashion lovers at the trade show bazaar at Fashion Village.
One of the specials of the Fashion Festival 2017 is to show the opening fashion show with the theme ‘Trendology’ from talented young designers, namely Natalia Kiantoro, Purana, Opi Bachtiar, and Barli Asmara. This opening fashion show comes with Live DJ music accompaniment, which is the first concept in JFFF.
Special Offering Fashion Festival is also always presented at the peak of the event, the JFFF Awards. In addition to giving awards to the characters who have been instrumental in the fashion industry homeland, JFFF Awards has a hallmark of fashion shows that collaborate leading Indonesian designers with a legacy of wastra handcrafted by the craftsmen of the archipelago. This time will present Irsan who picked up Sambas Songket cloth made by the original artisans Sambas with the theme “Asha ‘.
Then the culinary treasure of Nusantara is one example that diversity can be the wealth of a nation. The discourse also became one of the inspirations of JFFF to consistently contribute to support the Indonesian culinary industry through Food Festival with Kampoeng Tempo Doeloe and Wine & Cheese Expo.
This year Kampoeng Tempo Doeloe (KTD) has a theme of ‘Kampung Layang-Layang’ decoration which was attended by 101 participants of SMEs and culinary entrepreneurs, resulting in more than 200 varieties of Nusantara menu. Some special menu this year is Mie Ayam Pelangi, Cwie Mie Malang, Cliff Noodle Bar, Martabak Yuk, 5 Star Chicken Madura Sate, Gudeg Pejompongan, Soto Udang Medan Bu Ari, Bagoja (Bakso Goreng Gajah), Ketupat Gloria 65 Ny. Kartika, Soto Roxy H. Darwasa, Banana Ice Ijo “Most Delicious”, and many others.
While the presence of Wine & Cheese Expo complement the Food Festival event at JFFF 2017 with a range of wine, cheese, chocolate, fruit, pasta, yoghurt, and others. This year Wine & Cheese Expo presents a range of quality wines ranging from domestic production to overseas such as Hungary, Peru, Czech, Slovakia, Croatia, France, Spain, and Chile. The partnership with the ambassadors also makes Wine & Cheese Expo increasingly becoming a bridge of Indonesian cultural exchange with friendly countries.
